If you are a new Florida massage therapist, or applying to become a Florida massage therapist, you may have some questions about CE Broker.
- What is it?
- How do I use it?
Today, we will answer some of the most common questions that new Florida massage therapists have about CEBroker.com about our responsibilities as a Florida Board-Approved provider to report your hours to CE Broker. We will also provide some tips on how to get the most out of this resource!
What is CE Broker?
The Florida Department of Health uses CE Broker to verify that Florida-licensed health care professionals have completed their CE requirements. It automatically audits each licensee at the time of renewal to make sure all of their continuing education hours have been completed and reported.
In addition, CE Broker is a website that allows you to track and manage your continuing education (CE) credits. You can also use CE Broker to search for and enroll in CE courses.
How do I use it?
There are primarily three things you can use CE Broker for:
- Finding courses
- Enrolling in courses
- Checking your CE hours
To find courses: You can search for courses by topic, provider, or delivery method (online, live, or home study). You can also browse courses by provider or delivery method.
To enroll in a course: Once you have found a course that you would like to take, you can click the “Enroll Now” button to be taken to the provider’s website.
To check your hours: You can check your CE hours by logging into your account. From there, you will see a list of all the courses you have completed and reported by your CE Provider.
Here is an older article we have on how to see if your hours have been reported.
Do I have to take my continuing education courses on CE Broker?
No, you are not required to take your continuing education courses directly on CE Broker.
Providers can host and advertise courses on CE Broker, but licensees are not required to take them on there. If you ever ask the board where you should take a course, they will point you towards CE Broker to FIND a course with the course search option. That does not mean you are required to take it there.
Do you report automatically my completed CE hours?
Yes, FloridaMassage.com is set up to report your renewal courses to CE Broker automatically. You will still need to log in to your account and complete the courses you purchased. As long as you provide your Florida massage license number during the course, when you pass your exam, our system sends a notification automatically to post your completed hours to your license number.
The only course that does not automatically report is the 10-hour massage laws and rules course for new applicants. See the question below for details on why.
Do you report my 10-hour Florida Laws and Rules course to CE Broker?
That depends if you are an applicant or taking the course because of disciplinary reasons.
Applicants: We do not (actually cannot) report this course to CE Broker on your behalf. Since you do not have a Florida massage therapy license just yet, there is nothing for CEBroker to track or a Florida license number for us to enter. You will need to enter the course tracking number with your online license application or send in the course completion certificate with your paper application.
Since you are not yet a licensed massage therapist in Florida, this course also does not count toward your first renewal. Any CE courses taken before your license issue date do not count toward your first renewal. The 10-hour course is an application requirement, not a renewal requirement.
Disciplinary Reasons: This is for current Florida massage licensees that have been required to take this course as part of their board discipline. We can and will report this course to CE Broker for you, provided you enter your Florida license number when you take the course.
How long does it take for my course credits to show up on CE Broker?
If you complete one of our courses, your hours should post to your Florida license number within minutes.
Not all providers have automatic reporting. It can take up to 30 days for your course completion information to CE Broker.
What if I do not see my hours posted?
If you completed a course on our website and your hours have not posted to CE Broker within 24 hours, please contact us.
First, we ask that you check to make sure you provided us with the correct license number. That is usually the most frequent issue and one that is easy to resolve.
If that isn’t the issue, we will research the issue and if we find that the provider has not reported the course completion information to CE Broker, we will report it for you.
Note: You can check the status of your Florida massage therapy license by
Can I take any of your courses directly on CE Broker?
Yes. We do offer most of them directly on CE Broker – mainly for license renewal. This includes the following required renewal courses:
However, we still only offer our 10-hour laws and rules course directly on FloridaMassage.com. This way we can continue to offer our free application checklist, licensing guide, and consulting to all of those navigating the application system.
The course is approved by the Florida Board of Massage. Its CE Broker tracking number is 20-314907 and our provider number is 50-16951.
You can purchase that course right here: 10-hour Florida Laws and Rules for Massage courses
I took one of your courses on CE Broker. How do I access my certificate?

Is there a fee to use CE Broker? Am I required to get asubscription?
Yes and no. There is a free or basic version of CE Broker and there are also two paid versions. You obviously get more perks with the paid versions, but you are not required to have the paid version.
The free version will suffice for most people who just want to check their hours and self-report their hours. You can also enroll in any courses with the free version.
The reason I see most people who are new use it, is because they are showing that they are not “renewal ready” near the end of the renewal. The free/basic version does not tell you why. So, you need to be able to look at the courses you have completed and figure out what is missing.
Maybe you haven’t taken your human trafficking course, or possibly your CE provider hasn’t reported your prevention of medical errors course, or you could be missing your hands-on hours. You need to be able to figure out your requirements, or missing requirements, on your own with this version.
If you want more features, such as more details on your completed courses and CE reminders, then you may want to sign up for a paid subscription.
There are two paid options available on CE Broker, Professional and Concierge. Each of them has different benefits. You can read more about each plan here.
How do I contact CE Broker?
You can contact them by phone at (888) 373-2677 or by email at info@cebroker.com. You can also visit their website at cebroker.com.
We hope this blog post has answered some of your questions and helps you on your Florida Massage Therapy journey!
